ZACHARY JOHN FORSTER, Resume March 5, 2020

My name is Zachary Forster.  I am extremely passionate about teaching and child learning.  I believe inclusion is central to Public Education and that fairness is not sameness.

I have chosen the teaching profession for a variety of reasons included my own love of learning and desire to work in a constructive social setting.  Schools are designed to be positive environments where people work together toward meaningful, common goals.  I bring to this setting facility in music and visual art as well as history of athletic participation and coaching experience.

I chose teaching as a profession following time working as a line-lead in light manufacturing.  I completed a college Certificate in Packaging and the Level 1 Industrial Mechanic standing.  While this career direction was interesting, I decided to enter university, graduating with an honours degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Contemporary Studies.  During undergraduate, I completed two field placements in primary classrooms.  I was hooked.  Now I knew I wanted to be teacher.

Here I am with my baby sister Olivia. She is three at the time. We were enjoying a book together. This was about the time I decided to become a teacher.
